SOLDTurner - Turner is a 21 ft lap strake (or clinker) runabout
The painting is 4 ft x 4.5 ft acrylic on canvas and is going to be used for the 2007 Vancouver wooden boat Festival
The name is not specific to this boat but named after the builder who was known as a prolific and talented boat builder in Vancouver in the 40's and 50's. In this particular boat, it is home to a single piston East Hope engine (that works), which is one of the earliest marine motors built in Vancouver.
Originally this boat was commissioned and owned by a family in buccaneer bay, then later it was acquired by Mark Fortune (son of Bob Fortune the weather man). Mark married Abby and later discovered that she was related to the family who originally owned the boat.
